The eye-catching Bill and Melinda Gates Hall, one of many academic buildings located near the intersection of Campus Road and Hoy Road, is home to the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. And with world-class programs in business, hotel management and engineering just steps away from Gates Hall and from one another, it is a perfect reflection of Cornell’s interdisciplinary commitment.

⭐ Bowers CIS

The Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science is a research and educational hub for computer science, information science, and statistics and data science — three critical fields that power today’s global information economy. Demonstrating the power of cross-campus collaboration, undergraduate majors in Bowers CIS are offered through Cornell Engineering, Arts and Sciences and Cornell CALS.

The college demonstrates a unique vision and commitment to developing state-of-the-art technologies and studying the ethical, human and societal impact of these technologies. 

Opening in spring 2025, a new Bowers CIS building will provide an additional 135,000 square feet of space for robotics, maker labs and active learning opportunities that will both support faculty research and provide hands-on experience for students.
