The Eastern Scholar House opened in the fall of 2017.
It offers a transformative experience for single parents pursuing a college education.
Located in the 800 area of Brockton, near the university’s Fitness and Wellness Center, the Scholar House is the product of a partnership between the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), Kentucky River Foothills Development Council Inc. (KRFDC), the City of Richmond and EKU.
The Scholar House is a one-stop shop of services for single parents, including access to an on-site childhood development facility, counseling services, life-skills workshops, and proximity to EKU’s Student Health Services and Women’s Clinic.
