Phillips Fine Arts Building
The Phillips Fine Arts Building houses professors’ offices and classes for the arts: theater, dance, music, and visual arts. You can also find the Alexander Brest Gallery in the lobby, the CAVE (the animation, film, and graphic design lab), and the Dance Pavilion, a double-tiered dance studio.

Dance
The Dance Department at Jacksonville University provides excellent programs of study in dance with the infusion of a strong liberal arts education. Dance training includes ballet, modern and jazz dance techniques, creative compositional projects, historical and theoretical thinking, multi-performance opportunities and aesthetics taught by an outstanding faculty with both professional and academic credentials.

Theatre Arts
The Department of Theatre is committed to the artistic and academic success of its students. The Department offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theatre and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with concentrations in either performance or technology. Our comprehensive degree programs are designed for the student seeking careers as professional actors, designers, and for the student seeking advanced degrees.
