As the first building on campus, students recognize the iconic Lovett Hall as a quintessential symbol of the Rice experience. Lovett Hall happens to be home to the Office of Admission.

The Rice Memorial Center (RMC) is home to the Center for Civic Leadership as well as student offices such as the offices for Rice Thresher, Campanile (yearbook), and KTRU Radio.

Africaye is our annual cultural showcase that takes place in the spring semester. It is our biggest event of the year where we showcase African music, dance, skits, and more! We work hard throughout the year to put on this beautiful showcase and it is truly amazing to see the Rice community come out and learn more about African culture during this special event!
Diversity Facilitators (DFs) are students who are here to help you navigate our incredibly diverse campus. DFs strive to uphold an environment that allows us to facilitate healthy and open discussions on any issues related to diversity in the student body.
The Lunar New Year Show is the largest annual cultural event hosted by Rice Chinese Student Association in collaboration with several other cultural organizations on campus including VSA, KSA, RTA, APASA, and RCSSA. The lunar new year, which marks the beginning of a new year based on the traditional Chinese calendar, is widely celebrated in several Asian cultures including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and more. Through an array of food and a variety of performances by Rice students showcasing both traditional and modern Asian culture, we hope to celebrate and represent the diverse cultures present on campus and usher in a new year with the Rice community.
