Student Health and Wellness

Student Life

🏋️ Student Health and Wellness

College students should strive to make their mental and physical well-being a top priority. WVU has a variety of resources to help keep our Mountaineers healthy and happy!

🌟 Student Life

While the time students spend inside the classroom is extremely important, the time outside the classroom can make all the difference too. Maximize your college experience by exploring ways to get involved, find friends, and most importantly, have fun!

Student Engagement

At WVU, what a student learns outside of the classroom is just as important as what they learn during class. There are 450+ student organizations to join and many ways to give back to your community and make a difference.

Club and Intramural Sports

WVU's Club Sports include Competitive Cheer, Dodgeball, Lacrosse, and Weightlifting. Each team is student led and competes against other universities' club teams. WVU’s Intramural Sports offer a variety of competitive sports in season league and tournament formats. All students, faculty, and staff (as well as spouses) are encouraged to compete.

Adventure WV

Adventure WV First-Year Trips are peer-led, adventure-based experiences that offer opportunities to meet other first-year students, help students learn about themselves, and connect with WVU in the beautiful outdoors of West Virginia. Trips cost $95 or less and take place the summer before students' first semester.

Outdoor Recreation Center

The Outdoor Recreation Center offers outdoor gear rentals and specialized trips for WVU students and faculty. Need boxing gloves, climbing shoes, or a squash racquet? No problem.
