📝 WE ARE committed to affordability
We believe in recognizing talent. That’s why 99% of first-year students receive merit and/or need-based aid.
Otterbein Aid — including merit-based scholarships as well as need-based aid—is the single largest source of support in how our students get help in paying for college.
Otterbein’s full array of merit and need-based scholarships are renewable for up to four years.
The Opportunity Scholarship helps Ohio residents whose families earn $60,000 or less or who are federal Pell grant recipients.
Total tuition transparency. The cost of college can be daunting enough without worrying if tuition will increase — and if it does, by how much. That’s why Otterbein will tell you — before you enroll — what you’ll pay for each year of your degree. No surprises. No jacked-up costs. Just total transparency.

👍 WE ARE a school that believes in opportunity.
Otterbein believes there are many pathways to success.
If you’re thinking about starting at a community college, then Otterbein has programs and partnerships for you to explore. Otterbein’s Dual Admission Program with Columbus State Community College and its Guaranteed Admission Program with any partnering institution means you can earn two degrees for less than half the cost of a single, four-year degree at an Ohio public university.
Otterbein University welcomes undocumented and DACA students to apply for admission and is committed to working with all students to explore how best to make Otterbein affordable.
Otterbein’s Pathway program is designed to allow those students who wish to become proficient in the English language to take language courses and then move right into their degree program.

📝 WE ARE making a 21st century education affordable.
We believe a college education is a right all students deserve. We also believe that students who work to earn that right deserve an opportunity they and their families can afford.
We also believe that what happens for students here — their entire experience — proves that an Otterbein education is not only worth it, it is a better, smarter way to be prepared.
