Adamson House

Once home to the Chumash Indians in the 18th century, Malibu was later acquired by the Rindge family. Ronda Rindge built this beach home with her husband, Merritt Adamson, in 1929.

During the 1970s construction of Pepperdine's Malibu campus, the city allowed the then Pepperdine president and his wife to live in the slowly deteriorating home. After the completion of the Malibu campus, the city halted the previously scheduled demolition of the Adamson house, thanks to the President's family renovations.

The home now sits as a historical landmark for all to visit.
