Louis A. Simpson International Building

Opened in January 2017, the Louis A. Simpson International Building unites the offices of several international programs. The building is home to the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS), the Davis International Center, the Council for International Teaching and Research, the Novogratz Bridge-Year Program, the Office of International Programs, and the offices of Princeton in Asia, Princeton in Africa, and Princeton in Latin America. Princeton’s curriculum and study abroad opportunities demonstrate a dedication to global engagement, and this building will serve to unite those interests.

International Students

⭐ International Students

The Princeton student body is incredibly geographically diverse, with students coming from over 90 countries. About 12% of the undergraduate population is international.

Davis International Center

The Davis Center offers specialized support and programs for international students, including resources to help students adjust to life at Princeton. They help with a host of issues such as immigration and visa support or tax filings. They also host programming that aims to promote cultural competency and understanding among the wider student body.

Financial Aid for International Students

Princeton is one of the only colleges nationwide that offer need-blind admissions and meet 100% of demonstrated need for all students regardless of citizenship or citizenship status.

International Orientation

International Orientation (IO) is a special orientation before the general first year orientation that allows international students to come to a campus a few days early and acclimate to campus. IO also covers practical information regarding living in America, such as students visas, employment in the US, setting up bank accounts, etc.

Student Groups

There are many cultural student organizations on campus for Princetonians of all backgrounds and countries to share their culture with their fellow students. These groups include The Macedonian Society, Princeton African Students Association (PASA), The Italian Society, Naacho (South Asian Dance company), and Princeton Latin American Student Association (PLASA).
A full listing of student organizations can be found on the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students website.
