Pentacrest

The Pentacrest is the heart of our campus. The Old Capitol, at the center of the Pentacrest, and four adjacent buildings are the reason for the name. Most students will take at least one of their classes in these buildings. Many Hawkeyes also use the green space to meet up with friends, study, and take pictures of a perfect sunset.

Downtown Iowa City is located directly across the street from campus. Our students enjoy the hundreds of restaurants, coffee shops, music venues, recreation, and entertainment options Iowa City has to offer.
