About

Founded in 1793, Williams College is a private liberal arts college in the beautiful region of Massachusetts known as the Berkshires. With a diverse learning community coming from 49 states and 97 countries and a culture that is distinctly collaborative, we are known for unique academic opportunities, including close faculty-student relationships, our signature tutorials (a course with just two students), experiential learning and endless high-level research positions with professors at the top of their field. Williams is also home to the nation's first all-grant financial aid program, with comprehensive packages that cover the full cost of textbooks, health insurance, summer storage and more for all students on financial aid.
