Arizona State University provides a safe, healthy, and secure environment. Maintaining a healthy and secure campus community for students, staff, and faculty means knowing what to do in the event of an emergency and having the right tools to respond. In order to achieve this, the university offers education and multiple resources to ensure that all members of the university are safe and secure.
ASU Police
The Arizona State University Police Department is committed to the safety of ASU students, faculty and staff. The Arizona State University Police Department is a full service public law enforcement agency, established by the Arizona Board of Regents and the President of ASU. There are 159 employees with the department, including 87 sworn personnel.
By the authority vested in them by the legislature of the State of Arizona, the ASU Police Department provides original jurisdictional law enforcement, security, and safety services on property owned or controlled by the ABOR. ASU Police Officers are fully certified as police officers by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board.
The police department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The police dispatch center answers all 911 calls and administrative phone lines for each campus. The ASU PD main headquarters are on the Tempe campus, with substations at Downtown, Polytechnic and West campuses.

ASU LiveSafe mobile app
The ASU LiveSafe mobile app allows you to send ASU Police real-time, anonymous tips that include audio, pictures, text and video. Alerts are sent to the ASU community and include life-threatening situations such as a major fire or an armed suspect on campus, are sent via these methods:
