Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. (C.U.S.) is an organization founded on the principles of integrity, respect, and accountability.
The sisterhood is unique in its capabilities to draw in new members who embrace our appreciation for family, individuality and collaboration with each other. Our sisters are women who not only exemplify and embody the essence of our organization, but also educate themselves and others about societal current events that enlighten their understanding of the world and their communities.
The purpose of this organization shall be to instill in all its members the high principles of The Bond of Phi Delta Theta. To attain an organized brotherhood that will assist all its members to conduct themselves, at all times, in accordance with the Phi Delta Fraternity provisions set forth in The Bond and The Code, Central Connecticut State University policies, and the ideals of rectitude, brotherhood and scholastic achievement.
Lambda Alpha Upsilon takes pride in being a selective fraternity, which allows Hermanos to form strong, familial bonds with each other.
Kappa Alpha Psi® is the 2nd oldest existing collegiate historically Black Greek Letter Fraternity and the 1st intercollegiate Fraternity incorporated as a national body.
Lambda Theta Phi was born to promote the spirit of brotherhood, to protect the rights of Latin students in their quest for an education, to promote the rich Latin culture, and to maximize leadership potentials to provide guidance to our community.
Lambda Theta Phi seeks visionary leaders who can assist in our mission to accomplish the goals set forth by our founders. Lambda strives to recruit individuals with a commitment to excellence and a determination to succeed.
Membership at the undergraduate level is open to all males, regardless of race, culture or creed. The prospective student must be enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited institution. In addition, in order to participate in the Fraternity’s intake process, the student must possess a minimum of 2.5 grade point average.
An emerging chapter
In the spring of 1946, the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. petitioned the 1st District and International Headquarters for a Graduate Chapter to be established in Hartford, CT.
In accordance with International and 1st District mandates, the Tau Iota Chapter sponsors local initiatives that focus on service to the community.
Emerging chapter
The Lambda Tau chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1977 by 12 undergraduate women in the Greater Hartford area. It was the first undergraduate chapter of AKA in Connecticut.
Our mission is to promote unity and friendship among college women, improve social stature, and provide service to the community.
