Central's Athletic Complex
The Department of Athletics at Central Connecticut State University competes in 16 intercollegiate sports competing at the NCAA Division I level in the Northeast Conference. Kaiser Hall is the location of Detrick Gymnasium, the home for the Blue Devils men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs, and the Jack Suydam Natatorium, which is home to the women’s swimming and diving program. The athletics facilities on campus also include Arute Field, home of the football and women’s lacrosse teams, Central Soccer and Track & Field Facility, and Central Baseball and Central Softball Fields. The men’s and women’s cross-country teams host their home meets at Stanley Quarter Park, which is located less than a mile from campus.
