🌐 Virtual Reality Lab
Geospatial Science students use VR and AR to help explain the spatial relationships of Earth's people, places and processes of the earth, all in an effort to better inform decision making.
🪴 The Greenhouse
Our diverse collection used for teaching, research, and outreach includes plants with medicinal properties, herbs, spices, and fruiting plants.
🔬 Radford University Forensic Science Institute
The Radford University Forensic Science Institute supports forensic science education, research, and public service, including consultation with public and private agencies to recover, identify and analyze prehistoric and modern human remains.
🧪 Biology Lab Spaces
Our classrooms offer modern technology, instrumentation, field equipment, and human/non-human models that allow students to collect their own data, research and learn using authentic examples.
🔬 Chemistry Labs and Equipment
The experiences and equipment at Radford are rare in undergraduate programs and often found only at the graduate-level. Here, you’ll have hands-on access to many state-of-the-art instruments including an MS/MS gas chromatograph, a Field Emission Scanning Electron microscope, and both infrared and Raman microscopes.
🔭 Planetarium and Other Physics Equipment
In addition to our campus planetarium physics students have access to an observatory, wind tunnel, atomic force microscope, scanning tunneling microscope, graphene deposition system, ground-penetrating radar and more.
