Navigating the Nursing and Science Building
The First Floor
The first floor of CNS features a few classrooms. There is one hallway that branches off from the lobby that features a few classrooms. One of these classrooms is the CNS 101 Lecture Hall. Beyond those classrooms, students can access a staircase to the second floor, elevators, and a mini market for students to purchase drinks and snacks! Students can also find seating areas on the first floor.
The Second Floor
The Second Floor can be accessed three different ways. The grand staircase by the entrance on the first floor connects to the second floor only. The elevators on the first floor bring students to all four levels, making a stop on the second floor. The staircase in the first floor hallway goes to all four floors in CNS. The second floor follows a square format, connecting all hallways together in a square shape. Along the hallways, students can find various seating areas and lounges.
The Third Floor
The Third Floor of CNS can be accessed by elevator or stairs, just like the second floor. Both the second and third floors of the Nursing and Science Building features the Fundamentals and Health Assessment Labs. One of the key locations on the third floor is the SNC CARES Office. This office focuses on registering, counseling, and mentoring School of Nursing students.
The Fourth Floor
The fourth floor of the Nursing and Science Building follows the same square layout as the second and third floors. In addition to lockers, study spaces, and additional classrooms, the fourth floor is home our Simulation Lab. The Simulation Lab is utilized by fourth year students to practice skills on realistic mannequins that mimic patients and real-life scenarios.
