The Behavioral Sciences Department includes the programs of Anthropology, Humanities, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology.
Psychology
The Psychology program is intended to meet the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree with transfer to a university. The Field of Study in psychology allows a student to obtain up to 18 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for a psychology major and to transfer.
Sociology
The Sociology program is intended to meet the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree with transfer to a university. The Field of Study in sociology allows a student to obtain up to 15 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for a sociology major and to transfer.
Social Work
The Social Work program is intended to meet the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree with transfer to a university. The Field of Study in social work allows a student to obtain up to 15 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for a social work major and to transfer.

The Mexican American Studies program is a cross cultural learning experience that fulfills 12 hours of course work that is intended to provide the foundation for transfer.
