Nutrition courses at SPC introduce students to the six classes of nutrients: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water. Students discover food sources of the nutrients, digestion, absorption, metabolism, and transport of the nutrients, as well as relationships between nutrition and chronic disease!
