🥳 Student Life
Our office is here to help you find ways to get involved on campus and in the community. We work with you to enhance your learning experience through co-curricular activities, leadership, and social events. Students are encouraged to join clubs and organizations, participate in sports, and work on special projects, such as Alternative Spring Break.
Student Involvement, Leadership and Intercultural Engagement
A wide range of educational, cultural, social, spiritual, wellness and multicultural programs are offered, both on and off campus. The Student Leadership Experience and Alternative Spring Break, offered every spring semester, are high-impact learning opportunities open to all students.
ID cards and parking tags are also processed in this office.
Student Organizations
No matter what interests you have — or want to cultivate — at St. Joseph's you’ll make connections that matter. St. Joseph’s supports the participation and growth of student organizations. Each club is represented in the Student Senate by one of its members to ensure that new ideas and the right to share opinions will not be overlooked.
😄 Counseling and Wellness
The mission of the Office of Counseling and Wellness is to support the overall well-being of St. Joseph's University students by providing comprehensive and collaborative services and programming. We strive to provide support and resources that are inclusive and accessible to all students.
🌟 Office of Career Preparation and Professional Development
The mission of the Office of Career Preparation and Professional Development is to provide career education through programs, events and services that empower students and alumni to attain their professional goals.
Career education fosters the identification, development and articulation of career competencies that ensure a successful transition from college to career. Collaboration with faculty, staff, alumni and employers promotes opportunities for career exploration and experiential learning, which facilitates the development of lifelong career management strategies.
Internships and Service Learning
Experiential learning provides college students with the skills and information necessary to succeed in their future careers. Because of this, many of the academic programs at St. Joseph’s University, New York's programs offer and/or require student participation in internships and service-learning experiences. These opportunities also allow our students the ability to truly immerse themselves in the meaning of St. Joseph’s five pillars: integrity, intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, social responsibility and service.
At our Brooklyn Campus, experiential learning is offered two ways: curricular or co-curricular. Curricular refers to a credit-bearing course with a service-learning or applied-learning requirement. Co-curricular refers to non-credit-bearing involvement.
