First-Year Housing

Upperclassmen Housing

🏠 First-Year Housing

UNE has a variety of on-campus housing for first-year students, as well as Living Learning Communities and Themed Learning Communities to connect with like-minded people.

Your First Year on Campus

At UNE, most students live on campus for three years, so our campus really does feel like a family. You’ll be an integral part of our community — sharing experiences with new roommates and making memories that will last well beyond graduation.

As a first-year student, you can live in one of our residence halls just for first-years: Assisi, Avila, Padua and Siena that make up the Quad, as well as Featherman and Freddy. There are typically two or three to a room, and every hall has a lobby, laundry, and kitchen. You can also opt to join a Living Learning Community (LLC) or a Themed Learning Community (TLC) to meet like-minded people, benefit from one-on-one mentorship, participate in leadership opportunities, and more.

Every hall hosts lots of programs such as ice cream socials, game nights, pizza parties and more. There’s always something fun going on. When you live on campus, you can take advantage of all that living on campus has to offer — from working out in our Campus Center to simply relaxing on our campus beach between classes. To explore downtown Biddeford or Portland, you'll just hop on our campus bus or book a ride through Lyft. You can also bring your car to campus based on availability or opt to go green and bring your bike.

🏠 Upperclassmen Housing

UNE also offers a variety of housing options for upperclassmen students.

Beyond Your First Year

Our upperclassmen residence halls include Sokokis, Champlain, East, and West. They are suite-style with a living room, kitchenette and bathroom for every suite.
