International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) is dedicated to celebrating and including Penn’s diverse international student and scholar communities by offering inclusive, innovative, and impactful immigration and integration services. ISSS helps students make Penn and Philadelphia home by developing programming and initiatives that enhance cross-cultural connections and reduce cultural gaps, increase access to campus resources and opportunities for international students, and build intercultural initiatives that grow Penn as an inclusive global community.

💕 Building Community at ISSS Looks Like…

Participating in Pre-Orientation Programing

The Penn Global Mosaic program takes place prior to orientation for incoming first-year students interested in broadening their worldview and becoming informed global citizens. During the program, you’ll build friendships with peers from all over the world, explore Penn’s global opportunities, and learn more about how students can leverage their Penn experience to shape their future as global leaders.

Learning

The Culture Crossings series is an opportunity for Penn’s global community to share different perspectives, celebrate our myriad identities, and see through the eyes of others. Everyone in the Penn community is invited!

Leading

Every year, international and U.S. Penn students are invited to be part of the Intercultural Leadership Program (ILP). This program has been designed to foster a community of intercultural leaders who are ready to take on issues they are passionate about, learn more about themselves and communities different from their own, and make a lasting impact at Penn and beyond.
