Founder's Park

Founders Park, formerly known as Carolina Stadium, is a stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on the banks of the Congaree River. It is home to one of the best baseball programs in the nation, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team, which brought home the trophy in 2010 and 2011! This world-class facility has seating for 9,000 fans and is family-friendly with a picnic terrace, wide concourses and plenty of concession stands. Fans can sit in one of the 6,500 chair-back seats, enjoy the Carolina sunshine in the bleachers or relax on the grassy berm down the left-field line. Our women's softball team is known for a few home runs of their own, so if you are here during a game, please cheer on the Gamecocks over at the recently renovated Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field, which is a stellar venue in its own right. Best of all: our students have wide access to all Gamecock athletic events! Learn more about Founder's Park.
