Tupelo Lane

Merrily we roll (our hoops!) along Tupelo Lane. Housing a few important, well, houses (as well as our hoop rolling tradition)! Billings, Schneider, Harambee House, Acorns House, Slater International Center, and the Continuing Education House live on this picturesque lakeside lane. Feel free to take a walk down Tupelo, but note that doing so will add a few extra minutes to your tour.

💙 Slater International Center

Supporting the international student community and hosting activities on campus to help all students expand their understanding of other places and cultures. International students come here for mentorship and assistance with practical matters such as travel and visas. It is also the place where students gather, creating long-lasting friendships. Student organizations and academic departments use Slater International Center regularly for meetings, events, cultural and social celebrations.

💙 Harambee House

Where students of African descent come together to find support and community. Home to cultural programming, social celebrations, and campus-changing activism alongside educational events that bring together the entire Wellesley community. Also: a living room, a library, a full kitchen, an office, and a den.

💙 Acorns House

Where students of Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American and Indigenous descent come together for cultural celebrations, club meetings, and social and academic support, as well as cultural events that are open to the entire campus community. It has an event space, a study area, a large communal kitchen, and a deck with stunning views of Lake Waban.

🚣 Tupelo Point

From this stone outlook, you’ll have one of the best views of Lake Waban.

📖 Continuing Education House

Home to the Davis Degree Program, which supports U.S. veterans, parents, and any woman aged 24 or older who has not yet completed their bachelor’s degree. The Davis Degree Program brings together scholars from many different backgrounds and life experiences, providing them with a fully engaged college experience at one of the best liberal arts programs available and, in the process, creates an extraordinary community.
