Hildreth-Mirza houses the Griot Institute for the Study of Black Lives & Cultures, which supports undergraduate research projects and sponsors an annual lecture and performance series featuring Black writers, thinkers and artists.

The building is also home to the Humanities Center, which funds collaborative student-faculty research through a variety of grants and fellowships, and the Bucknell University Press, Bucknell’s own publishing house that employs student interns from the sophomore, junior and senior classes.
