Cotter Union

Cotter Union is home to numerous club spaces, the Office of Campus Life, the Colby Bookstore, and the Joseph Family Spa - Colby's a la carte dining option.

Colby has over 100 clubs and student organizations including the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Student Programing Board (SPB) - both of which have offices in Cotter Union.

Student Government at Colby has a history of making a significant impact on campus. For example, in 2013 the SGA collaborated with the Board of Trustees to create The Colby Affirmation. This is a document that all students sign. It asserts that honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility are cornerstones of a Colby education, and provides the foundation for scholarly inquiry, intellectual discourse, and an open and welcoming campus community.

Colby’s culture of shared success – which celebrates individual successes as lifting our entire community up, rather than threatening the success of others – informs every aspect of life here at the College.
