Convocation Hall
Convocation Hall, one of the first two buildings on Emory University's Atlanta campus, was built more than a century ago and is being meticulously restored to serve as an academic hub. Originally known as the theology building, the structure opened in 1916 and was the first building to open on Emory’s main quadrangle. Home through the decades to university executives, faculty, libraries and even the campus post office, Convocation Hall now supports Emory’s mission through offices for university leaders. It also supports broad institutional uses including academic gatherings, trustee meetings and significant campus events.

Convocation Hall lies right in the heart of campus: on the Quad, and next to the Calloway Center, White Hall, and Candler School of Theology. It is one of the two oldest academic buildings on campus, completed at the same time as Carlos Hall in 1916. Currently, the building is home to the Office of the President and other administrative departments.
