Athletics at Otterbein

Rike Center encloses an intercollegiate wood basketball floor with seating for 3,100 spectators, as well as curtains and space to segment two courts for volleyball or basketball.

🏈 Rike Center

The Rike Center was built in 1975 for $1.5 million and is named for the Rike family of Dayton, Ohio. David L. Rikeserved on the Otterbein College Board of Trustees from 1879-1895. His son, Frederick H. Rike, class of 1888 held the same position from 1906 to 1947. Susanne Rike MacDonald, class of 1890, taught music at Otterbein from 1894-1895.

The complex includes a varsity basketball/volleyball court and an all-purpose area which can simultaneously accommodate as many as five different activities. In addition, the complex includes a 1/10 mile track; room for three tennis, basketball or volleyball courts; a wrestling room; a full infield area for baseball practices; two racquetball courts, a weight room, two intramural offices, a complete locker room, training facilities for both men and women, and a free weights area. Driving nets are used as batting cages for baseball.

🏃 Clements Recreation and Fitness Center

Clements Center features a fieldhouse of more than 70,000 square feet with a sanctioned six-lane, 200-meter indoor track; four practice courts for multiple activities, including basketball, tennis, volleyball and badminton; pole vault, long jump and high jump pits and a shot-put area; four batting cages; state-of-the-art weightlifting and cardiovascular fitness equipment; and a spectator balcony. Clements Center also houses faculty and coaching staff offices, academic classrooms and a 5,000-square-foot athletic training facility with a Swim-Ex machine, and three whirlpool tubs.

⭐ Memorial Stadium

Memorial Stadium is Otterbein's football stadium. The stadium is dedicated to 14 Otterbein community members who gave their lives serving the country during WWII. The stadium contains state-of-the-art locker rooms, a training room, an equipment room and turf field. The stadium also has a 400-meter outdoor track. The stadium was rebuilt in 2005 and has 32,000 square feet.
