Career Resources

📊 Career Resources

Office of Career Advancement

At UChicago, career preparation begins with your first day as a UChicago student and builds on itself over the next four years. Each first-year student is given a career adviser in the Office of Career Advancement, which offers extensive professional support to students—from professional resources, to career opportunities, internships, an extensive alumni network, and more—throughout their time at the College and beyond. UChicago helps you plan for the future throughout your time as a student, whether that means finding a student job next quarter, securing a summer internship, looking into graduate study, or kickstarting your post-graduation job search.

Metcalf Internships

Hand-on experience is key to career exploration, and since 1997, the Jeff Metcalf Internship Program has been a vital resource in providing professional experience for UChicago students. Through the Metcalf program, UChicago students have exclusive access to over 3,500 exclusive internship opportunities per year spanning all fields, including business, government, public policy, international studies, education, and social change, each paid and offering substantive responsibilities and experience.
