Majors & Minors
We don’t really believe in limits. At UConn, rigorous academics can be found in any of our majors. If you’re still figuring out your fit, or want to customize your plan of study, there are options for that, too. Bring your passion, and we’ll help you unleash your potential.
Academic Center for Exploratory Students (ACES)
Discover your passion by exploring your possibilities. Nearly a quarter of all first-year students are accepted to UConn’s Academic Center for Exploratory Students (ACES) program, enabling them to complete general education requirements, examine their choices, and stay on track before declaring a major. ACES is also the academic home of UConn's pre-professional majors. If you plan to major in any of the programs within education, you will enroll in ACES before applying to your school of interest during your sophomore year.
