First Year Tradition- Twilight Induction Ceremony

At the start of each academic year, members of the incoming Class are welcomed to UVM with a colorful university tradition. Wearing bright shirts in hues corresponding to their residence halls, students gather at Patrick Gymnasium for a convocation ceremony, marking the start of a new academic year, then proceed down Main Street to the University Green for the annual Twilight Induction Ceremony, where they join the university community and pledge to uphold its values.
