Elizabeth Moore Hall
Named after Elizabeth Moore, headmistress of Woodburn Female Seminary when WVU was founded, the building is known on campus as “E. Moore Hall.” Built in 1928 and on the National Register of Historic Places, E. Moore was built as the home of the Physical Education Department for Women. It is a favorite place to relax or study and includes a pool, dance studio and a small gym, and Student Legal Services, the Off-Campus Housing Office and a commuter lounge.
