Living on Campus at Binghamton
From here you can see several of our residential communities. Hinman College is in front of you on the left, Mountainview College is up the hill in front of you, and if you head east, you’ll pass College-in-the-Woods, then Dickinson Community, and finally, Newing College. (If you head west, you’ll arrive at our Apartments community: Susquehanna and Hillside, which generally house upperclass students.)
Where you live during your college years is more than a location -- it’s a place of pride and a place to connect and make friends. Each of our 6 residential communities provides a small-school feel yet has all the benefits of a large university campus.

Learning Communities & Collegiate Professors
Learning communities and collegiate professors make Binghamton campus life unique. Theme-based learning communities were developed as a space to hold classes and create various experiences for residents to make connections with others who share similar interests and goals. Collegiate professors are faculty members who serve informally in the community as role models, advisors and leaders. They’re also someone you can turn to for questions or concerns.
Binghamton has a variety of residential learning communities including Animals and Society, CoRE, Engineering, Environmental Action and Studies and Nursing and Public Service.

Dining Overview
Now, let’s talk about what’s always on the minds of college students: Food! Getting that caffeine fix, eating healthy foods or grabbing a quick snack is not a problem for Binghamton students! With over 25 dining locations on campus open from 7 a.m. - 1 a.m., you can find B-Healthy wellness, vegetarian, vegan, allergen-free, local and sustainable options -- and everything in between. Dining plans are flexible, and structured to give the best value. Our à la carte system means students pay only for the meals they eat. Looking for the ultimate in healthy eating? We also have two Registered Dietitians to assist students in managing their food selections.
