The University Center is located in the heart of Ferris and is considered to be a living room for the campus featuring spaces for meetings, socializing, studying and relaxing.
It also offers a variety of food, entertainment, and retail venues including the Quad Cafe which has an all-you-can-eat cafeteria style section and a retail side with a diverse selection of food.
The facility is accessible to the greater Big Rapids community so all are welcome to come to the dining areas, the bookstore, and the Starbucks location within the building.
The Barnes and Noble Bookstore serves as the university bookstore providing everything needed for our student's coursework.
The University Center is also home to our Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services (CLACS) which supports a student’s journey at Ferris State by organizing and providing opportunities for involvement in one of over 230 different Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), attendance at an event or coordinating volunteer opportunities.
CLACS also hosts two large career fairs each year as well as several other workshops and other career preparation services.
Beyond the walls of the classroom and in the community, getting involved in just one student organization or experience ship can be transformational and contribute to success.
Intersecting student involvement and academics creates life-long learners and responsible citizens.
The University Center is also home to the First Lady's Attic which ensures that all Ferris students are dressed appropriately for success through a collection of donated, gently-used professional apparel items that are available at no cost to students on campus who want to look their best for an interview or class presentation.
Students can keep the outfit they choose! (one outfit per year).
