Salley Hall stands out as one of the more distinctive housing options at FSU, with a layout that’s unlike any other residence hall on campus. Originally built in 1964, Salley has undergone significant renovations, including updates in 2000 and 2021, which added new carpets, modernized bathrooms, and refreshed common areas. These updates make it a polished choice for first-year students.

🌟 Salley Hall Features
Salley’s unique suite-style design includes two bedrooms each housing two students. With a communal living area and bathroom shared by all four students, promoting a balance of privacy and community. As an eight-story, twin-towered structure, it houses approximately 570 students and offers a variety of amenities, including kitchens on designated floors, study lounges, and recreational facilities like basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts.
Conveniently located near Seminole Café—a buffet-style dining hall—and just steps from the Dirac Science Library, Salley Hall offers both accessibility and comfort. It is also a short walk from classroom buildings, making it an excellent choice for students who want proximity to academic resources.
Additionally, Salley fosters a tight-knit community. Many residents and former students highlight the hall’s vibrant atmosphere and opportunities for making connections, despite its distance from central areas like Landis Green.
