The first floor houses the Reaud Honors College, where honors students study and hang out.
Being part of the Reaud Honors community goes beyond GPA. Join our honors college to take advantage of low class sizes, scholarship opportunities just for honors, and leadership opportunities that include the Texas Leadership Scholars Program and the Reaud Leadership Institute! Take your undergraduate experience to the next level as a Reaud Honors student by engaging in some of our popular experiential opportunities:
To become a Reaud Honors student, the minimum GPA for incoming students is 4.25 or higher (unweighted GPA of 3.85 or higher) and must have a ranking in the top 10% of high school graduating class. For transfer students, GPA must be 3.7 or higher. Test scores are also highly encouraged; exemplary applications usually have a minimum SAT of 1260 (EBRW + math) or minimum ACT of 27. After acceptance into the Reaud Honors College, students must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
Fun Fact: The honors “study” room is actually the Ping Pong room! Students can use the tables to both study and play ping pong, so you’re always set up to take a fun study break. You’ll often find students hanging out here before classes. Another popular hangout is our student lounge.
