Progress Pride Paths

UB’s Progress Pride Paths is a public art project that displays UB’s pride and support for the LGBTQ+ community. The 11 different colors painted on the sidewalk in the Knox Quad recognize the expansive experiences of queer people, celebrating queer identities while also challenging the community to recognize privilege and equity. The Progress Pride Paths is the first installation in the Contemplative Sites project, which showcases art that celebrates the history and diversity of UB in spaces that provide for contemplation on issues that resonate with our campus community.

The University at Buffalo is committed to ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all members of the UB community, including our LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff and community members. UB coordinates academic, support and community resources surrounding LGBTQ+ inclusion, and there are several student organizations that promote a sense of community on campus among LGBTQ+ students and allies.
