Sotelo Ranch
The Sotelo Ranch was located at what is now Rural Road and University Boulevard. The Sotelo family donated money for the expansion of Tempe Normal School. Chickens would escape from the Sotelo Ranch and wander around the lawn of Old Main. At that time, the front of Old Main had posts for students to tie up their hoses when riding to class.
