Oldenborg Center
The Oldenborg Center for Modern Languages and International Relations was founded to provide students with a living experience of international education. Each year, around 129 students choose to live in foreign language sections that are devoted to programs focusing on six cultures and languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.

Oldenborg supports a Language Resident program, conversation courses for academic credit, daily language tables, luncheon colloquia, the Foreign Language Resource Center (FLRC), summer research and travel grants, and the Exchange Visitor Program (J visa).
Foreign Language Resource Center
The Foreign Language Resource Center (FLRC), is the modern rebirth of the traditional language lab. We are not only a physical space for students and faculty but also a unit that provides professional development, research, and instructional language technology support. The FLRC is a social space, where students and faculty can drop in at any point during our opening hours.
Language Tables
Oldenborg Center at Pomona welcomes you to join its foreign-language tables. Converse in foreign languages at virtual tables mentored by native speakers.
✈️ International Student Services
Between 10 and 15 percent of Pomona's students enroll from countries outside of the United States. Pomona's International Student Services Office assists and advises international students on matters relating to visas, immigration status and benefits. They can also connect you with the International Student Mentor Program, where current international students support and provide community for new students.
International Student Mentoring Program
To make your transition to college life in the US easier, all new students are matched with a mentor from the International Student Mentoring Program (ISMP). ISMP is a Pomona College student-led mentoring program that pairs new international students with returning international students. Talking to your ISMP mentor is a great way to get all those little questions answered to help you adjust to this new environment.
Study Abroad
Pomona College offers 63 study abroad programs in 36 countries for its own students. Approximately half of Pomona students study abroad before graduating. To ensure equal access, the College charges the same fees for a semester or year abroad as for a semester or year spent on campus and extends financial aid allowances to cover the time abroad.
