Health and Education Building

Home to the College of Applied Sport Sciences (part of the College of Applied Human Sciences), this building includes an instructional fitness center and multipurpose gym in addition to classrooms, labs, and computer labs. On the ground floor is WVU Medicine Student Health, which includes health clinics, wellness services and a pharmacy. This location also houses the Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services, where students can make appointments with licensed counselors to discuss stress or anxiety, depression, homesickness or any other issues in a professional and safe environment.

Academic Resources

🏋️ Student Health and Wellness

College students should strive to make their mental and physical well-being a top priority. WVU has a variety of resources to help keep our Mountaineers healthy and happy!

Student Health

WVU Student Health Services provides healthcare services to WVU students, including wellness visits, vaccinations, onsite X-rays, lab services, telemedicine, referrals, and more. The Student Health Building includes urgent care, travel medicine services, and a pharmacy. 

Mountaineer Pharmacy

Mountaineer Pharmacy provides prescription services (including delivery via mail) and carries a selection of over-the-counter medications and supplies. The pharmacy is conveniently located on the ground level of the WVU Health and Education Building.

Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services

The Carruth Center is an accredited counseling center that provides crisis intervention, short-term counseling, group counseling, drug and alcohol counseling, and preventative skill building.

WellWVU

WellWVU provides students comprehensive education on wellness topics including nutrition, relationships (such as with a roommate), sexual health, stress management, substance abuse, and more.

ASPIRE Office

The ASPIRE Office helps students win nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships and/or gain admission to graduate school! Check out the scholarships and fellowships our office helps students apply for, and set up an appointment to discuss the ones that interest you. We also help students with applying to any graduate or professional school program.

Language Placement Exam

Students who have studied a language before entering college have the opportunity to take the language placement exam.
