Our Dance Education Center provides a space for students to hone their craft and learn new techniques.
Students are able to learn from our extraordinary faculty and internationally acclaimed artists-in-residence, such as Jennifer Muller/The WORKS.
From ballet to hip-hop and jazz to West Indian, students will learn technique, dance history, and how to create their own dances.

Students in the Dance Education for Teacher Certification program develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to be an effective PK-12 dance educator.
Students are provided with a variety of classroom learning experiences as well as experiential learning opportunities with partner school districts where they learn up to date teaching techniques and apply them in an authentic environment.
Students in the Central Dance Education Entrepreneurship program develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to pursue a business-based dance career.
Graduates will be prepared to teach dance at the highest level and have the knowledge and skills to handle the marketing and managerial side of running a successful business.
A minor is not required with this major.
