Marcus White Hall

Marcus White Hall was originally constructed as the first residence hall on campus. The side of the building that faces Davidson Hall houses the offices of faculty members of the Math and Psychology Departments

The building also houses our Center for Africana Studies, our campus computer lab, and TechCentral.

📏 Mathematical Sciences

The mission of the Department of Mathematical Sciences is to foster effective teaching and research in support of developing students as mathematical problem solvers and effective users of mathematical knowledge, no matter their current or future profession. In support of this mission, the department focuses in the development of intellectual enhancement and the dissemination of knowledge and application in the areas of mathematics, mathematics education, and statistics, including actuarial science and data science.

🏫 Psychological Sciences

The Psychological Sciences faculty are committed to helping our students develop a solid knowledge base within the psychological science field. Faculty will engage with their students and colleagues to add to the knowledge base of the major.

📖 African American Studies

The African-American Studies Program develops and coordinates an interdisciplinary curriculum. Its objectives are to encourage all students and faculty to examine the African-American experience, to facilitate a cultural and intellectual atmosphere on campus that will be favorable to such studies, and to develop a program of research and community service. The program also has a nationally recognized African-American lecture series, featuring nationally and internationally known scholars in the field of Black Studies.

📕 Center for Africana Studies

The mission of the Center for Africana Studies at Central Connecticut State University is to advance the understanding and appreciation of Africa, African Americans, and individuals of African heritage across the Diaspora.

📱 Walk-In IT Center

Walk-in Technology Support is available to the campus community. We provide In-person technology support for your portable computer and campus technology. 

Services include computer configurations to access the campus network, remote application configuration, assistance with campus systems (CentralPipeline, WebCentral-Banner Web), software support and more. 

💻️ TechCentral Computer Lab

TechCentral is the main general purpose computer lab on campus for students, faculty, and staff. 

TechCentral has a mix of Dell PCs and Apple Macintosh computers. 

The Center offers B&W and color printing, scanners, and access to the campus wireless network. 

There are also 4 student group work spaces available which may be reserved to work on group projects or presentations.
