Undergraduate Research

3/2 Engineering Program

Pre-Health Curricula

📔 Undergraduate Research

Undergraduates have the unique option to pursue research directly with professors at Pepperdine, as well as present and publish their work. Seaver College professors and the supportive staff in the Natural Science office and Career Center provide helpful programs and advice to enable students to find their passion and pursue it at a high level of excellence. In the past year, over 50 students participated in undergraduate research, and in the past 18 months, 40 student scholars have authored scientific papers or given presentations at scientific conferences.

⚙️ 3/2 Engineering Program

Engineering majors have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Natural Science from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from either the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering or Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Engineering Tracks

During the first three years at Seaver College, students can select chemical, computer, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering tracks.

🩺 Pre-Health Curricula

We offer outstanding pre-health curricula and advising for students who plan to apply for admission to professional programs such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, occupational therapy, podiatry, and nursing.

Medical School Admission

Of the 350 current students in the Pre-Health program, there is an 89% acceptance rate to medical school and 85% of pre-health students attend medical school after graduation.

Student Opportunities

There are many professional speakers, student-organized clubs, international programs with health professional opportunities, volunteer experiences, and undergraduate research for pre-health students to engage in during their time at Pepperdine.
