Over 200 pre-licensure nursing students graduate each year and many are placed in local jobs. Jacksonville is a major medical and bioscience hub with Mayo Clinic, Baptist Hospitals and Medical Centers, Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Brooks Rehabilitation, which this college is named after.

We have the UNF MedNexus, which is designed to be the nation’s first comprehensive, university-based medical and healthcare nexus, partnering with local medical centers and connecting healthcare providers with university students, faculty and researchers.
🦴 Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is a Doctorate program that teaches healthcare professionals who work with individuals in preventing, evaluating, and treating physical dysfunction and injury.
🏥 Biomedical Pre-Professional Program
The Biomedical pre-professional program is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, but classes may take place in Brooks. Offers great training before continuing onto medical school. Some potential career pathways from this program include: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry and veterinary medicine.
🍉 Nutrition & Dietetics
Students learn how to interpret and translate nutrition research into meaningful recommendations for consumers. There is also the option to minor in Food Systems & Sustainability.

Nutrition & Dietetics Hands-on Learning
Brooks College of Health students take field trips to organic farms and complete hands-on work with UNF’s Ogier Gardens. Students in the program also can participate in internships all over city, including with Jacksonville’s NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars!
🏃 Kinesiology
Kinesiology is an undergraduate program that leads into the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. These students get to work with our Division I athletes.
Graduates from this program find jobs in fields like cardiac rehabilitation, elderly care, weight management, recreation & fitness and more.
