Libraries

There are 17 libraries across campus. The Perry-Castañeda Library, or PCL, is one of the largest academic libraries in North America and has an extensive 70 miles of book stacks with alternating quiet and collaborative floors. It also houses the University Writing Center and Public Speaking Center, providing free academic support to students, and the Covert Admissions Welcome Center, where your journey as a prospective Longhorn begins. You can find our first library, the Life Science Library, in the UT Tower. Look up and you'll see 31 quotes from historical leaders, novels and holy books in gold covering the beams.
