Turtle Pond

Just north of the UT Tower is the home of our unofficial mascots, our campus turtles. Students lounge by the peaceful pond to take a break or study outside, saying hello to the turtles basking in the sun. This mini ecosystem is often visited by biology classes and is a spot for undergraduate ecological research. Just a few steps away is the newly restored Painter Greenhouse, where you'll see student sustainability projects and research underway.

🌟 Hogg Auditorium

Recently renovated, Hogg Memorial Auditorium holds 1,000 seats for arts, lectures, music and entertainment. Completed in 1933, it was the first theater on campus, named after the first native Texan governor of the state.
