The Blanton Museum of Art on the south side of Speedway has the most comprehensive collection of art in Central Texas, with a permanent collection of 21,000 works of art along with year-round traveling exhibitions. It is one of campus' seven museums, which include the Harry Ransom Center, home of one of only 20 complete copies of the Gutenberg Bible, and the Texas Science & Natural History Museum, with a collection of 5.7 million specimens telling the story of the natural world of Texas. Students receive free admission to all campus museums.
