Oxford College Library
The Oxford College Library is one of Emory’s eleven university libraries, and it functions as both an academic and social hub on Oxford’s campus. The library houses two academic classrooms, private study rooms, open study spaces, a brand-new virtual reality lab, and one of Oxford’s on-campus dining options, Oxpresso Café. Whether you’re locating a book you need for class, working on research in Oxford’s historical archives, or studying for an upcoming exam, the Oxford College Library is an essential location for students.

⭐ A Space for Students
The Oxford College Library of course houses a vast collection of books, but here you can also find other media like films, CDs, graphic novels, video games, and even board games, all available for students to check out. Oxford’s library also allows students to check out technology like laptops, tablets, projectors, calculators, cameras, CD/DVD players, and chargers. The books and media in the Oxford College Library are condensed onto moving shelves on a track, creating more space for desks, couches, and tables where students can gather and collaborate with each other. The emphasis is clearly on creating an academic and social space for students to use as they see fit, and students have access to the library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
⭐ Research and Resources
At some point in their academic career at Oxford, almost all students will engage in some sort of research, whether independently, guided by a professor, or for a class assignment. Fortunately, Oxford College Students have access to 1000+ research databases and academic publications through the Oxford College Library. Additionally, Oxford College students get access to all eleven of Emory University’s libraries through the inter-library loan system, which allows students to check out books and other media from any of Emory’s libraries and have them shipped to Oxford College. At any point in the research process, students are invited to make consultation appointments with Oxford’s research librarians who are specially trained in using Emory’s many research databases.
⭐ Oxpresso Café
One of Oxford’s primary dining options is located in the library. Oxpresso Café primarily serves students for breakfast and lunch and accepts meal swipes and Dooley Dollars as payment. At Oxpresso, students can build their own breakfast sandwiches and tartines or purchase muffins and pastries, yogurt parfaits, fruit cups, juices, and more. Oxpresso also offers a wide selection of international snack foods, candies, and grab-and-go meals like sushi rolls and poké bowls. Many Oxford students will start their day with a drip coffee or one of many espresso drinks from Oxpresso.
